AWS Organizations

AWS Organizations is a service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that enables the central management of multiple AWS accounts. Organizations allow you to consolidate billing and provide a unified view of your AWS usage and resources across all your accounts. You can also use Organizations to set policies and permissions across your accounts to ensure compliance and security.

Here are some examples of how AWS Organizations can be used:

  1. Consolidating Billing: AWS Organizations allows you to consolidate billing across multiple AWS accounts, making it easier to manage and track costs. This is particularly useful for organizations with many departments or business units that use AWS resources.
  2. Centralized Control: Organizations enables centralized control of AWS accounts, making it easier to manage and enforce policies across all accounts. This can include setting up custom policies and permissions to ensure compliance and security across your organization.
  3. Simplifying Resource Sharing: Organizations simplifies the sharing of AWS resources between accounts. For example, you can use AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM) to share resources like Amazon S3 buckets, Amazon EC2 instances, and Amazon RDS databases across multiple AWS accounts.
  4. Streamlining Account Provisioning: Organizations makes it easier to provision new AWS accounts, simplifying the process of creating new accounts and configuring policies and permissions.

AWS Organizations provides a centralized and streamlined approach to managing multiple AWS accounts, making it easier to manage costs, maintain compliance, and improve security across your organization.
