The Microsoft SC-300 exam is designed to test a candidate’s knowledge and skills in managing identity and access for Microsoft Azure and securing data and applications in the cloud.
Prequisites
To take the Microsoft Exam SC-300, candidates should have a strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and its identity and access management services. Microsoft recommends that candidates have at least one year of hands-on experience in managing identity and access for Microsoft Azure.
Additionally, Microsoft recommends that candidates have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Identity concepts and technologies, including Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and Azure AD
- Privileged access management (PAM) and access control
- Azure AD identity protection and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Conditional access and Azure AD Connect
- Cloud computing concepts and services
- Security concepts and technologies, including threat protection and security management
Candidates may also benefit from taking the Microsoft Exam SC-900, which provides an overview of Microsoft Azure and its cloud services. However, this exam is not a formal prerequisite for the SC-300 exam.
