Azure Seamless Single Sign-On (SSSO)

Azure Seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) is a feature that enables users to access applications and resources without having to enter their credentials again, even when accessing applications that are not integrated with Azure AD. This is accomplished through a combination of Azure AD Connect and group policy settings that allow for automatic authentication between the user’s device and Azure AD. Here are some examples of how Azure Seamless SSO can be used:

  1. Accessing on-premises applications: With Azure Seamless SSO, users can access on-premises applications that are not integrated with Azure AD without having to enter their credentials again. For example, if an organization has an on-premises CRM application, users can access the application through their web browser without having to enter their credentials again.
  2. Accessing Azure AD-integrated applications: Azure Seamless SSO can also be used to provide automatic authentication for applications that are integrated with Azure AD, such as Office 365 apps or other SaaS applications. This means that once a user is signed in to their device, they can access these applications without having to enter their credentials again.
  3. Improved user experience: Azure Seamless SSO provides a seamless and consistent user experience across applications, regardless of whether they are integrated with Azure AD or not. This can help improve productivity and reduce the need for users to remember multiple sets of credentials.
  4. Security: Azure Seamless SSO can help improve security by reducing the risk of credential theft and phishing attacks, since users are not required to enter their credentials multiple times. Additionally, Azure AD can enforce policies to ensure that users are only accessing applications and resources that they are authorized to access.

Azure Seamless SSO provides a convenient and secure way for users to access applications and resources with a seamless and consistent user experience.
